Absolute pressure sensors use absolute vacuum as their reference point, featuring a sealed vacuum cavity within the sensor. The pressure measured is therefore relative to vacuum and is unaffected by changes in ambient atmospheric pressure. Sencoch absolute pressure sensors are based on MEMS piezoresistive technology, with the sealed vacuum cavity on the backside of the sensing die providing a stable reference. When external pressure is applied to the silicon diaphragm, the resulting deformation is precisely proportional to the absolute pressure value.

This series covers a wide pressure range from 0 kPa to 5 MPa, offering amplified analog voltage or digital I²C output options. Typical applications include automotive electronics (e.g., Manifold Absolute Pressure or MAP sensors, tire pressure monitoring), consumer electronics (e.g., inflatable pumps), civil applications (e.g., gas pressure measurement), medical devices (e.g., ventilator airway pressure monitoring), and industrial process control (e.g., vacuum pumps). Absolute pressure sensors are the preferred choice for critical applications that require high-precision measurements under varying environmental conditions, as their readings remain unaffected by weather and altitude changes.
