Gauge Pressure
Gauge pressure sensors measure pressure relative to the ambient atmospheric pressure. The MEMS piezoresistive sensing die is exposed to both the media pressure and the atmospheric pressure, producing an output proportional to the difference between the two. Since the sensor must be vented to atmosphere, gauge pressure sensor designs typically incorporate waterproof and breathable measures to ensure accurate measurements across varying altitudes and environmental conditions.
Sencoch gauge pressure sensors cover a broad pressure range from micro-pressure (e.g., 1 kPa) to mid-to-high pressure (e.g., 2 MPa), and are available with multiple output options including digital I²C, amplified analog voltage (e.g., 0.5-4.5V), uncompensated mV, and laser-trimmed calibrated mV signals. They are suitable for measuring air, gas, and select liquid media. This series is widely deployed in medical devices (e.g., oxygen concentrators, blood pressure monitors), industrial pneumatic controls (e.g., pressure gauges), home appliances (e.g., washing machine water level sensing, coffee machine pump control), smart home applications (e.g., air mattresses), and therapeutic massage equipment—making it one of the most widely demanded pressure sensor types.
